Plagiarism Policy

“Wieś i Rolnictwo” maintains a strict policy against all forms of plagiarism and research misconduct. Plagiarism is defined as the use of another person’s words, ideas, data, tables, images, or other intellectual property without proper acknowledgement, presenting them as one’s original work. This includes direct copying, paraphrasing without citation, and the use of materials without permission or attribution.

The journal considers all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, ghostwriting, and guest authorship, as serious ethical violations. Manuscripts submitted to “Wieś i Rolnictwo” are screened using the Crossref Similarity Check (powered by iThenticate) to detect potential cases of textual overlap and similarity.

If plagiarism or any other form of research misconduct (e.g., citation manipulation, data fabrication or falsification) is detected at any stage of the editorial process, the following actions will be taken:

Immediate rejection of the submitted manuscript or retraction of the published article;

Notification of all involved parties, including the authors, reviewers, the institution(s) with which the author(s) are affiliated, and any individuals whose rights may have been infringed;

Possible implementation of sanctions, including a ban on future submissions.

“Wieś i Rolnictwo” follows the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in investigating and resolving cases of research misconduct. The editorial team is committed to maintaining academic integrity and will take all necessary steps to prevent unethical behaviour in the publication process.
