Open Access Policy

The journal “Wieś i Rolnictwo” is published under the Open Access model. This means that all articles are immediately, permanently, and freely available online to every user, without the need to log in, pay fees, or hold a subscription. The journal does not charge any fees to authors for submission, review, or publication of articles (so-called zero APC – Article Processing Charges).

All content published in the journal is shared under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license:

  • Every user has the right to copy, distribute, modify, and use the article content for any purpose, including commercial use.
  • The only condition is to provide appropriate attribution (indicating the author(s) and the source of the original publication).
  • The license does not restrict users’ rights arising from copyright exceptions and limitations (e.g., fair use).

The full license terms are available at: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode

The journal supports the principles of open science and fully complies with the guidelines of research funding institutions and international initiatives such as Plan S, DOAJ, Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), and Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD).

Article Sharing Policy

The editorial board does not permit authors to post articles before peer review or during the review process on personal websites or institutional repositories.

Authors may post the online first version of their article (the peer-reviewed version including changes made during review and approved by the Editorial Board for online first publication) on personal websites and institutional repositories, provided they include full source information (journal title, year, DOI, journal website URL) and indicate that this is a pre-publication version. Authors must also respect copyright and publication rights. After the article is published in a specific journal issue, authors are required to update the previously posted version by adding the final published version details, including the volume and issue number, DOI, and a link to the published article on the journal’s website.

Authors may individually post the final published version of the article (the official PDF as published in the journal issue) on personal websites and institutional repositories.
